Ashtanga Vinyasa is a dynamic and intense style of Yoga that blends the fluidity of Vinyasa with an emphasis on physical strength and endurance. Ashtanga Yoga practice is designed to build both mental resilience and physical prowess. It challenges practitioners to push their boundaries, fostering a strong mind-body connection.

In our Ashtanga Primary Led classes, you can expect:

  1. A Set Sequences: 49 Postures and 35 Vinyasas. A strong and fast-paced sequences that keep you moving, building heat, and increasing heart rate. The sequence is designed to challenge your strength, flexibility, and balance.
  2. Strength and Conditioning: This practice places a strong emphasis on building muscular strength. Through a series of bodyweight exercises and asanas, you'll work on toning and sculpting your muscles, ultimately increasing your overall physical fitness.
  3. Cardiovascular Endurance: Ashtanga Vinyasa is an excellent choice for those looking to improve cardiovascular health. The continuous flow of movements, combined with controlled breathing, elevates your heart rate, helping to enhance endurance and burn calories.
  4. Mental Focus: The demanding nature of Ashtanga Yoga necessitates mental concentration and presence. It encourages you to stay in the moment, fostering mental clarity and stress reduction.

See “Ashtanga for beginners“ class on Mondays at 6:30pm, some basic knowledge of Asana is required as Queuing is minimal, However, your Ashtanga teacher, Moones, is very helpful and will give adjustments and queuing.


Are you looking for Mysore practice?

Friday morning Ashtanga is self paced! Your teacher Moones will be on hand for adjustments and deeper learning experience, class starts 6:30am
