On days when the Full Moon graces us with its presence, The Shala will provide a modified service, offering either a gentle flow class or a soothing restorative session.
In the realm of Yoga, Full Moon days are deeply rooted in tradition as periods of rest and rejuvenation. It is a belief held across time that during this lunar phase, the body is in its most delicate state, making it more prone to injury.
Hence, our Moon Day classes are designed with a focus on nurturing the physical body, nourishing the spiritual self, and guiding the mind into a meditative state.

Join Catarina Carvalho and Alex Dmochowski for an evening of mantra chanting to celebrate the arrival of Spring!
Kirtan is an accessible form of meditation by surrendering to sound and connecting inwards, feeling our own vibration.
This session is about coming together in community through our sound, where multiple voices become one:
Union - The Yoga of sound.
Under the strong energy of the new moon, we invite you to release and express what's been suppressed, set intentions and let go of fear and resistance. Chanting together to find freedom and strength.
We will be chanting mantras in Sanskrit accompanied by an Indian harmonium, soprano saxophone and a djembe.
This is not a religious practice and no previous experience is necessary, everyone is welcome!
